The Inspiration

We discovered the abandoned cottage in a glade surrounded by an evergreen forest. Jasmine climbed one wall and wrapped around its porch, tiny fragrant flowers still blooming despite the cold. Eyes bright and laughing playfully, you pushed the door open. The honeyed sweetness of dried figs brought sunshine inside, but you fell upon a large heirloom hope chest and squealed with delight at its contents while I relaxed in an antique cedar chair, as much enveloped in woody animalistic scents as intoxicated with your warm allure.
